BIGGER THAN JESUS
WYRD Productions, with Necessary Angel Theatre Company, present the international hit Bigger
Than Jesus, the latest solo show starring Rick Miller of MacHomer fame.
Co-created with Daniel Brooks, one of Canada's top directors, Bigger Than Jesus features Rick
Miller in a sinfully funny and poignant multi-media Mass that questions the mysteries of life and the
historical and modern viewpoints on Christianity. Weaving together the Catholic liturgy, the gospels,
and some good old-fashioned bible-thumpin', Bigger Than Jesus is one of most unique theatrical
experiences you will ever see, regardless of your religious background.
With its careful juggling of reverence and irreverence, Bigger Than Jesus has played equally well to
both the avant-garde (Munich's SpielART festival) and commercial markets (Montreal's Just for Laughs
festival). The production has now toured to rave reviews across Canada and Europe, and has just made
its American debut at Cal Performances in Berkeley.
